Born in 1996, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Isaiah "IZZI" Ballstaedt is a contemporary artist based in Lexington, Virginia, U.S.A.
Primarily working with oil and acrylic paints, his work focuses heavily on the juxtaposition of the past and present. Often reaching into his own childhood and the vague or forgotten experiences of the past and connecting them with the present, building new but familiar memories.
"Izzi's art ignites nostalgic memories in vibrant colors. His brushstrokes blend familiar yet abstract scenes, with golden yellows and greens evoking skies, fields and cherished moments. Bright and joyful, his work holds a gentle melancholy, inviting viewers to linger where past and present blur."
